5/15/13 4:30pm (PST) - One of our servers responsible for hosting reached a configuration limit and all sites running on that server became unavailable until we were able to troubleshoot, detect, and update the configuration around 5:00pm. The server itself is in good health, and more than adequate for it's tasks, but the default configuration for how many files it could have open at one time was too low. Every account that is created opens up several log files, and when a new account was created, it opened up one too many log files. Fortunately this was an easy issue to address.

We are very sorry for the downtime and we will continue to strive to improve our server infrastructure. We are in the process of migrating to Rackspace Cloud servers so that we have more redundancy and quick scalability. We hope to have that migration completed soon, but want to make sure that we do it perfectly.
