Encoding Email Addresses to Reduce Spam

So yeah, we hate SPAM as much as you do. When we design sites, we make sure that all email addresses are encoded in such a way that most SPAMbots won't take the time to harvest. There is no way to truly prevent a determined spammer from taking your email address, but if we encode it well enough it's not worth their CPU time when there are easier targets out there. But when you want to add an email address on a page, it's very vulnerable. We have a solution now though, thanks to Smarty, the open source template engine that powers Gutensite....

MLS Email Alerts for Realtors: New Setting to Control which Information Triggers Updates

We've added a great new feature Realtors have been asking about for a while. Our MLS Email Alert system has been setup to send out email alerts whenever a property is updated on the MLS based on a "modification timestamp" that the MLS organization sets on each property. But sometimes the MLS says properties have been updated just because some obscure field was changed.
