Once you've selected a Free Lite Skin, or commissioned a fully Custom Design, you'll still need to consider the content of your website. Gutensite is a powerful tool that puts you in control of content creation and management. But don't kid yourself, building a website initially requires a lot of work. After you've decided what you want to communicate, written your page text and collected your images and documents, you'll then need to add this "content" to your website by uploading files, making basic pages using the Visual HTML Editor, or utilizing a variety of pre-designed database driven content types which help get you started for standard pages like: testimonials, profiles, blogs, articles, contact forms, calendars, store product lists, resource lists, etc. This is all possible with our CMS, but expect a small learning curve and a few hours of effort.

For Free Lite Clients, or Pro Clients on a budget, doing all this yourself can be a great way to save money (assuming you are organized and quick to learn). We want you to have a website that you can afford, so we'll do whatever we can to help you accomplish this. If you are a Pro Client we'll train you and provide support along the way, or if you are a Free Lite client you can read our tutorials, and with some effort you will be able to create a basic site.

But good design doesn't just happen, and even the best designed website shell can only do so much to compensate for poorly (or boring) designed page content. So after you are finished, we recommend that you identify your most important pages and ask us to "polish" them. Consider the visual and organizational power of the pages on this site, and compare it with a page that you may have created. Good design is worth the investment, assuming you want a professional site. We think the option below for Full Service Page Setup & Design is essential for a professional site, and we only suggest this DIY option if you really can't afford a fully designed site.

For our Full Service Page Setup & Design, you will provide the content (page text, images or ideas for images, pullout quote ideas, etc) and we'll create the pages and make sure they are designed well. Once you have a general idea how many pages you want on your site, add the appropriate estimated costs below to your General Design costs, for a better idea of your full design project.
