The costs depend entirely on what you need - we've got something for everyone. Essentially there are three types of costs: General Design, Page Setup, and monthly subscription Package. You can mix and match to find the perfect combination for your needs.

There are three types of costs:

A professionaly designed website should communicate your story effectively through visually stimulating, emotionally engaging design. People do judge by what they say, so it's important to make a good impression. We recommend getting a custom design that will represent you well. Although we also provide a number of professional Free Design Skins, for those who don't have the budget to customize right away.

This is the part where you “move in” to your site: add pages about yourself, blog, write articles, add images, multimedia, team profiles and as many extra “My Pages” as you want. If your primary concern is budget, you can do all of that yourself right from your control panel. If your primary concern is professional design, time or you feel little overwhelmed, we offer setup packages to help you get your site populated quickly and beautifully.

The monthly package keeps your lights on and fridge running. It covers the basic server fees, email accounts and most importantly it is the licensing fee for using Gutensite to create and manage your site. It's much more affordable than building an independent site from the ground up (and more feature rich). It comes with free upgrades, maintenance and free customer service.

Free Design Library

Branding: Logo

Basic Logo: $500

The basic logo package is sufficient for clients who need a professional logo and are willing to be satisfied with limited choices. Client will obtain a professional quality logo, but fewer choices means the logo may look different than expected. Client fills out a logo design questionnaire; Crate Media develops three (3) logo ideas; Client reviews options and picks favorite with suggestions for one (1) round of revisions to the chosen design; Crate Media finalizes logo and delivers master files for print and personal use.

Standard Logo: $1,000

This standard logo package is recommended for most small businesses and organizations who need more design choices and the ability to interact with the design process to refine their brand. Client fills out a logo design questionnaire; Crate Media develops ten (10) logo ideas, Client reviews and picks favorite. Client is allowed up to two (2) rounds of revisions to the chosen design; Crate Media finalizes logo and delivers master files for print and personal use.

Recommended Logo: $1,650

Similar to the Standard Logo, this package also includes the production of a Logo Usage Guide, and a second round of logo ideas, if necessary, for a total of twenty (20) logo ideas.

Professional Trademarked Logo: $25,000

For larger companies that will invest hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars in marketing, developing the perfect trademarked logo is a small but essential starting point. This package includes:
  • Personal consultation to understand the company, it's values, products and services, audience, and vertical market.
  • After a thorough planning process, design twenty (20) logo ideas and present to client one round at a time, with up to four (4) rounds total. Client reviews the ideas for each round until Client finds the logo they want.
  • When a logo is selected, Client can request up to five (5) rounds of revisions for the chosen logo.
  • Once a logo is finalized, Crate Media will work with Client to trademark the logo. In the case of trademark ineligibility, Crate Media will perform up to five (5) additional rounds of revisions to modify the logo for trademark approval.
  • After a logo has been trademarked, Crate Media will create a Logo Usage Guide for designer reference.
  • The entire process will include up to three (3) in person meetings for planning and revisions (additional travel expenses applicable if more than 60 miles), and four (4) design rounds which including 80 logo ideas total. This should be more than adequate to develop a unique, strong brand for any business.
  • Crate Media finalizes logo and delivers master files for print and personal use.
NOTE: We also offer branding consultation, name/slogan brainstorming, additional design ideas and/or revisions, which can be added to the base cost.

Branding: Materials

Business Card, Letterhead & Envelope: $500

After Branding has been established for logo and site design, extend established branding for business card, letterhead, and envelope design. Cost includes one design idea for each item, and one round of revisions. Client will be provided with master print ready files.

Email Newsletter Template: $800

Develop a SendStudio Email Newsletter Template which is compatible with established branding. Design one idea, offer one round of revisions, and install the template in SendStudio account.

Brochures & Annual Reports: *

Utilize established branding to develop Brochures and Annual Reports. Prices are based on size and complexity of project.

Consultation

Basic Site Planning: $500

If you're overwhelmed by the prospect of building a website and don't know where to start, let us help. We'll provide you with our Site Planning Questionnaire that walks you through a comprehensive series of questions that help specify: Who is your Audience? What are your website Goals? What do you want your visitors to learn and what actions do you want them to take? What are the most important things you want to communicate in the first 30 seconds? And what are the main sections of your site? Once you've answered these questions, we'll analyze your answers and recommend a structured sitemap that optimizes navigation, traffic flow and usability. We'll recommend special features, and pages that would benefit from special design. The cost includes up to 6 hours of analysis, planning, and consultation via phone and/or email.

Standard Site Planning: $1,500

In order for your organization to achieve maximum results from your website, initial planning is priceless. In addition to the Basic package, we'll be able to devote extra time to understanding your business and offer more advanced advice on Site Name and Domain, Branding, Traffic Flow, Conversion Goals, Recommended Functionality, Detailed planning for Advanced Functionality, Home Page Optimization, Recommended Featured Promotion Modules, SEO & Marketing Advice. The cost includes up to 18 hours of analysis, planning, and consultation via phone and/or email. Or two days (up to 8 hours) of in person meetings (additional travel expenses applicable if more than 60 miles).

Marketing Advice: $85/hr

Let us help develop suggestions for marketable domain names, company names, slogans, etc. In as little as 2 hours we can develop some solid ideas. You set your budget and we'll give you our creative best.

SEO Services

SEO Essentials Package

  • Tiny Site: $250 (0-5 pages)
  • Small Site: $350 (6-25 pages)
  • Medium Site: $500 (26-50 pages)
  • Large Site: $800 (51-100 pages)
  • Extra Large Site: $1,500 (101-200 pages)
Create SEO Friendly URLs, browser page titles, meta keywords and meta descriptions for each page. Set sitemap priority and update frequency. Submit website and sitemap to main search engines. Setup Google Analytics account to monitor site traffic.

Additional Services

Optimize Page Content: $50/page

Pick the most important pages and rewrite the content to include select keywords, i.e. maximize the use of the desired keywords to ensure that a given page will rank higher for those keywords in search engine results. Reformat the existing content to use <h1> <h2> tags on important phrases and words to give search engines hints about more important keywords.

Technical Services

Domain Management: $50/yr

Domain Management is simple in theory, but can become a hassle over the long run. If you manage your own domains you just need to need to point them to our Name Servers, keep your contact information updated and keep track of renewal. We recommend enabling auto renewal, but you still have to keep your billing information updated or else you may lose your domain when it expires. If you worry about keeping track of your domain over five or more years, let us take care of the details.
