    Clearing page caching

In my initial playing around on Gutensite I created some test pages. I no longer want those pages to show, so I've deleted them, but some are still accessible as they are cached through Google.

Any tips on how to get rid of this? I don't know if that's strictly a search engine subject or somethign that can be done on this end. I'm pretty new at all this.

    Thanks for the help!

    Re: Clearing page caching

    Hey there,

It appears that there is an option for 'expedited removal' of URLs through Google. I've included a link to the article they have about this below.

    Google URL Removal: http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=164734

Also, a quick tip for when you delete pages from your website is to make sure the links to those pages have been removed from your menu as well. This makes sure that nobody comes across a "404 Page Not Found" error on your site.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Steven
