We are very careful to filter the advertising that shows up on our Free Lite sites, we certainly don't want people to have ads that they feel are immoral or in ethical violation of their values. If you see ads like this, please do the following:
- Email us a screenshot of the ad as it appears on the page.
- Email us a link to the page it appeared on.
- Also if you don't mind clicking on the link, we need to know the domain name of the website it goes, so we can block that particular advertiser (and we will notify google if it is egregious).
If the ad is not necessarily offensive, but you just don't like advertising or the content of the ads are inappropriate for your particular site, the best thing to do is upgrade to one of our professional packages.
Please know that our ads are provided by Google's advertising system, and the type of ads displayed are based on two main factors:
- location of the viewer
- content of the website (keywords)
If your page does not have much text on it, or your site is new, it's possible that the ads may not be very targeted. If you can add some more keywords to your page (or even the site description that appears on your meta tags) that can help google better target ads that compliment the content of your site. |
